2022 Season Opener

The J3 2022 season kicks off in today. AC Nagano Parceiro will face Kitakyushu. Parciero has a new coach, Yuki Rudolph Stalph, who coached Yokohama YSCC last season. That team seemed to press a lot and played two very competitive games against Parceiro. It will be interesting to see how this year's team plays.

Will there be a noticeable change in style, effort, or quality? Will this be the year that Nagano finally gets promoted to J2? Or will we see more underwhelming results that don't reflect the effort shown by the players?

The 2022 J3 season will be 34 games, 17 home, and 17 away. Each team plays each other team twice. The top two teams get promoted.

My predictions are:

  1. Nagano will score more goals per/game than they did last season.

  2. They will finish in the top five but are short of promotion.

  3. 16 wins, 10 draws, 8 losses, 58 Pts., 4th place

  4. Top Goal Scorer: Naoki Sanda
