REAL JAPAN ENGLISH
ABOUT
The Story
My name is Dave, I am an American living in Japan for well over ten years.
Most English education is boring. I have lived and taught in Japan for over ten years. My dream is to teach English by teaching to common interests that I share with students.

Sure it is important to learn how to order from a menu. But, wouldn't it be more fun to really learn how to talk about art, music, sports, family, and real-life?

If you think so, you are at the right place. Please read my blog. I also accept a limited number of English conversation students if you want to contact me.

Sometimes this blog will be about English, or language learning. But, mostly, I want to write about other topics in easy-to-understand English.
Most articles will be written in intermediate-to-advanced English. But some beginners can also read with help of online translators.

For people interested about life in Japan, my blog will also be of interest. My aim is to move beyond stereotypes and common understandings of Japan, and focus on daily life as I experience it.

The blog is divided into seven categories. I hope to write six short posts, and one long post each day.
